Let’s Get Acquainted…
Hello! Glad you came to visit! I am happy to share a little about me. I am a Christian, wife, mother and grandmother. I changed careers later in life and I am so glad I listened to that calling as I am truly living my best life. I am blessed to be able to be in a place where I can integrate my education, spiritual gifts, ministry work and professional and life experiences into the care of those God brings my way.
Before coaching I was working full time in the finance industry but God was preparing me to shift into the helping profession as my fulltime vocation. I worked during the day as a funding manager and in the evenings I went through training to become a lay minister. During this training I developed many deep friendships with my co-ministers. Our friendships continued as we moved as commissioned lay ministers into caring for the hurting people in our home church. Our friendships flourished even years after. I believe due to that special connection we had in Christ and caring for others. During this ministry work is where I felt my spirit really come alive. This was reaffirmed when I took a break from it. That’s when people would come into my corporate office and open their hearts up to me. Not being in the official position to help them I began to notice what I was really missing, walking out my true calling.
After listening to God’s calling I acquired my masters in Human Services Counseling and received my certificate in Christian Life Coaching. I love to provide that one-on-one undivided attention to my client as I listen to her story. Listening is an extremely important skill in getting to know my clients. It has always come easy to me. I am always in awe of how God has created each one of us differently for His purposes. So I love to be that somebody in your corner to encourage you in your own calling, reawakening God’s purpose in you
In my down time, I love to travel to historical places with my husband. I have always had an interest in how people in the past have juggled life under their own circumstances. In particular how their resiliency pulled them through. I also love family time with my husband, my two sons, their wives and my three grandkids.
